Good day everyone! Fena is now back again with some of my cooking tips based on my personal experience. These tips are specifically useful to me, so I hope it does help for you too!
Tip #1 - Build your commitment and schedule your own cooking sessions
Plan out! Before you start cooking, it is definitely great to set a commitment that you are willing to learn how to cook and develop your cooking skills. Try to provide a spare time where you can have your own time in your kitchen, cooking the dishes that you want, but make sure to do it consistently. For instance, schedule your cooking sessions once or twice every week.
Tip #2 - Decide what are you going to make and search for the recipes
As a beginner, it is definitely helpful to research on what kind of dishes that you would LOVE and ENJOY to make and eat at the end of the day. After you decide on a dish, it is also crucial for you to search for the recipes and at least get a brief overview of what kind of ingredients you need for the dish. Once you read and understand the recipes, you can add your own style to it.
“Cooking is not difficult. Everyone has taste, even if they don’t realize it. Even if you’re not a great chef, there’s nothing to stop you understanding the difference between what tastes good and what doesn’t.” – Gerard Depardieu
Tip #3 - Prepare every ingredients and start cooking confidently
After you read and understand the recipes, prepare all the ingredients on the table and start cooking. Make sure to keep things hygienic and clean while cooking, as well as be cautious of things that you should be take control of.
Tip #4 - Clean things out
After you're finish with your cooking, it is essential that you clean things out and put the cooking tools back where it belongs and save any ingredients if there's any. This is particularly effective for me to build my motivation up the next time I will be cooking.
Tip #5 - Self-evaluate and ask for a peer-review
Lastly, it would be great if you can taste your own cooks and evaluate yourself on what's missing or what you have did well. Learn from your mistakes and success. Besides, if you have any friends, family, or acquaintance with you, it would also be helpful to have feedback from them.
